  In any crisis, the preeminent concern is for ‘life and safety’—this is the domain of emergency response. In addition to the legal requirements for building evacuation procedures and fire drills there are numerous responsibilities for securing assets, limiting further damage, and liaising with first-responders such as fire, police, and ambulance. These responsibilities are related to the consequences of an emergency or disaster but are different from the responsibilities for activating and coordinating business continuity plans or teams. Linc Group works with its clients to clarify and anticipate the concerns of managing disaster consequences and differentiating them from business continuity concerns.
